CARLOS COLÓN-MACHARGO has devoted his professional career to representing entities in business law and labor and employment law matters. Throughout the years, he has represented and counseled businesses in corporate and business law, as well as labor and employment law issues. As a former litigator in these areas, Carlos gained substantial experience in all aspects of the litigation process including the discovery of evidence, the drafting and filing pre-trial dispositive motions, the trial of cases and the handling of post-trial and appellate issues. He employs that experience in counseling his clients to reduce the exposure to litigation. Before being engaged in private practice, he served as Field Attorney at the National Labor Relations Board in Region 29, Brooklyn, New York, where he acquired experience in the Labor Relations field.

Carlos currently counsels individuals and entities in all areas of business and employment law including entity formation and governance; owners’ agreements, general contract drafting and interpretation; employee discipline and discharge; employment discrimination; drafting and negotiating employment contracts, handbooks and policies; handling and prevention of litigation; workplace investigations, wage and hour issues and compliance with federal and state statutes. He also provides guidance on tax matters.
